ABOUT

art house

Originally constructed in the 1920s and later converted into a duplex in the 1960s, this residence has seen various alterations over the years that failed to meet the needs of its occupants. The owners envisioned this property as a second home—a weekend getaway to be closer to family and immerse themselves in Melbourne’s vibrant art scene.

COLLABORATION

pop of colour

In collaboration with Studio Doherty, a multi-layered approach was used to introduce colour and texture.  The bold pink mirrored acrylic cladding the main bedroom is unmissable on entry and sets the tone for the rest of the home.

CRAFTING GALLERIES

By strategically positioning these windows throughout the home, we seamlessly merged the indoors with the outdoors. Giving the occupants a profound connection to the city through living art.

DESIGN STRATEGY

BENDING THE RULES

By blending bold lines with soft curves, this suburban residence defies norms, offering a creative escape. With a rooftop garden adding to its charm, it continues to inspire outside conventional limits.
