Originally occupied by a family of four, the clients realized that their beloved abode could no longer accommodate their expanding needs. The ambitious goal was to create additional living space, including two extra bedrooms, an extra bathroom, and a rumpus area for the children, despite the limited scale of the site.
Inside the transformed Grid House, a sense of harmony prevails as the new additions seamlessly integrate with the existing layout.
Drawing upon creative prowess and architectural ingenuity, we embarked on an upward journey, adding new levels to the existing structure. Maximizing every inch of available space, turning limitations into opportunities for growth.
Working with Studio Doherty, we embarked on reorientating the kitchen, and dining rooms so that no matter where you stand you’re always facing greenery bringing a connection with the exterior indoors.
Its unassuming exterior gives little indication of the remarkable transformation that has taken place within its walls, save for the sky blue front door, which hints at the newfound vibrancy dwelling inside.
